Zones of Regulation
At Zones of Regulation, we have a curriculum that introduces children to the core components of executive functions. The program is designed to teach children to regulate their cognitive behavior in six key areas, not isolated skills but interrelated components of self-management. It allows for differentiation in the amount of reinforcement, scaffolding the activity level depending on the child's skill level. It provides immediate feedback so children can learn from their mistakes and have success right away, which motivates them to continue engaging and the opportunity for mastery.
